Creating art with layers of texture, from thick acrylics to delicate embroidery, connects me to the centuries-old traditions of women who have stitched before me. By fusing these ancient techniques with contemporary mediums, each piece becomes a bridge between past and present, honoring history while crafting something entirely new and vibrant.

Over the years, my artistic experience has included acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, graphite, colored pencil, charcoal, prints, graphic design, pastels, modern calligraphy, flower pressing, candle making, book binding, and more. Currently, I offer all the mediums italicized above, but keep an eye out for new products and styles as my online art boutique grows.

My abstract pieces delve into the intricate relationship between surface and texture. I experiment with thick layers of acrylics, occasionally with gold foil, to create depth and dimension.

My work also includes watercolor, often overlayed with ink, textiles, and craft elements like embroidery. This fusion of media allows me to exhibit a feminist hybrid style by honoring the ancient tradition of hand stitching practiced by women for generations. Through this technique, I infuse ancient practices into my contemporary and vibrant compositions, bridging the past and present.

My practice is an endless exploration of various techniques, resulting in highly detailed and expressive compositions. From an early age, I was immersed in the world of art, learning acrylic painting from my mother and grandmother. This foundational experience, combined with a later interest in graphic design and other creative pursuits like charcoals and pastels, has shaped my artistic voice.

Although less common, I also offer figurative works of either the human form or places and objects that bring me joy. My love for acrylics melds seamlessly with capturing these visuals or stories. For example, Vintage Hot Air Balloon represents my fascination for hot air balloons—a passion ignited during my childhood in Orlando, Florida. Passing by Walt Disney World, I was often captivated by the sight of their cheerful hot air balloon soaring above Disney Springs, sparking a lifelong affection for the whimsical and vintage. And Clouds Over Moher is based on my experience visiting Ireland’s famous Cliffs of Moore in 2019.
